Basically, the app is modeled after the popular music application, Shazam. Shazam allows you to identify music in a very similar way. With the DoggZam app, whenever someone comes across a dog that they don’t know the breed of, they can snap a picture and immediately find out what breed of the dog.

“How many times have you looked at a dog and wondered ‘what type of dog is that,” this Michigan based DoggZam creator said. McKinney developed the app with a fixed aim to educate people about different dog breeds. This is perhaps the biggest reason why it is so close to his heart.
He says, “Instead of Shazam, you can have DoggZam!”
