CNG Pump

Compressed Natural Gas mainly contains up to ninety percent of methane as a mixture of hydrocarbons with low energy content and CNG is mainly filled by compressing above two pressures of 250 kg per centimeter. CNG is filled in the vehicle in the form of a cylinder store, hence the name Compressed Natural Gas. CNG is operated at one-third the cost of conventional fuel, better than petrol, due to which the demand for CNG is increasing among vehicle owners today. CNG is mainly used as a green fuel because CNG is lead free and has the ability to reduce harmful emissions as well as enhance spark plug performance. In developed countries using CNG as fuel, it is also being seen that CNG can prove to be mainly helpful in lubricating oil. CNG is mainly free from contamination and is also helpful in dilution of crackcase oil.

Compressed natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas are going to be in greater demand as fuel in the automobile sector in the coming century. More than 10,500 private cars and taxis in India’s financial capital Mumbai and the entire public transport system in the capital Delhi are going to run on CNG only.

The world’s car manufacturing companies are also successfully testing the use of LPG and CNG fuel on vehicles. Also, it may take a century for CNG to completely replace petrol and diesel, hence it is not easy to completely convert to the use of CNG in special public transport vehicles. Petrol and diesel have long been considered unfavorable for vehicles and petrol and diesel provide 15-20 percent more mileage. But with the changing modern times, petrol and diesel are mainly said to be harmful for health and environment. In view of the serious condition of petrol and diesel, researchers are emphasizing on the use of fuels like CNG and LPG because CNG is less harmful to health and environment and is also effective for vehicles.
