When next you are planning on going for a vacation, Belgium is one of the places you should put in mind. Belgium is a country in Western Europe, known for its old towns. The Belgian coast is known for its beautiful beaches . They have got different activities you can indulge in, during your stay. If you are a lover of seafood, be sure to get some there. There are different resorts that offer views of the Belgium shoreline and amenities. The best season to visit Belgium is during spring and fall when the weather is favourable. You can also visit Belgium around July to August because the weather is usually warm, and it feels like the best time to enjoy a beach vacation in Belgium. 1. BLANKENBERGE

One main feature of this town is that it is a National and International seaside resort. It has a Seaside Marine Park which makes it a great place to visit, along with your children. This also makes it one of the largest aquariums in Belgium. Various watersports are available for bookings at the harbour. Watersports like kiteboarding, windsurfing, jet skiing etc. You don’t have to book a spot at the beach in Blankenberge because every visitor is allocated a space of 6msquare on the beach berm. You can spend your morning playing golf and taking a stroll when it is evening time.

2. NIEUWPOORT

If you are someone who is interested in sports, Nieuwpoort might just be the perfect town for you. So many watersports like fishing, swimming, paddling are available. Nieuwpoort is well known for its fishing activities. Fresh seafood can also be found about 2km from the beach. Nieuwpoort beach is one of the best places in Belgium to catch some quality time with family. You can also take some time to explore the beautiful town by taking a stroll down the parks.

3. KOKSIJDE

Koksijde is a small town located in the Southwest Flemish region. Its beach is a long and amazing one with so many activities and warm restaurants. The beach is usually crowded during summer but you can enjoy quietness and rest if you take a small walk outside the village. Due to the high range of visitors during summer, the beach gets cleaned every day and the rescue brigade will always guard the beach and warn against any dangerous wind. Swimming is generally not allowed when the rescue stations are closed. You can indulge in watersports and other fun activities at this beach, first aid post is also nearby. You can get a drink at the restaurants and local cafes too.

4. MIDDELKERKE

The beach in Middelkerke is the longest in the whole of Belgium. Its location is at the center of the Flemish coast. Some of the beachfront attractions include skate ramps, golf and playgrounds for children. During July to August, you can swim only under the supervision of safeguards and professionals. There are also flags and signs on the beach that indicate instructions for swimming.

5. KNOKKE-HEIST

Knokke-Heist is a seaside spot that has a great cultural characteristic. It is recognized as one of the most classy area on the Belgian coast. During summer, the beaches of Knokke-Heist are the busiest but there is enough space for people around July to August. Just like in Blankberge, you also do not have to book a spot in Knokke-Heist. In Knokke-Heist, they have the casino and the Scharpoord cultural centre that offer lively cultural activities. If you don’t want to spend all day on the beach, you can spend your time at some of the art galleries there too.

6. ZEEBRUGGE

The largest sandy beach on the Belgium coast belongs to Zeebrugge. It is so spacious that you don’t have to hustle your way out of the crowd. Spend your day at the beach watching ferries passing by, or keep yourself busy with a magazine or book. Getting bored? Move to the sports zone, where there’s a lot of fitness devices. This is a bonus: There’s always an open-air cinema at the beach every Thursday in July.

7. DE HAAN

De Haan beach is one of the quietest beaches. It is perfect for spending time alone, just grabbing a cup of wine and a book to read. Though the amount of parking space to the beach is limited, the beach is still very much accessible. It gets busy during summer but never crowded. The resort in De Haan is also one of the visited areas there because it gives you a complete view of the sea. You can rent beach chairs and windscreens during summer. De Haan is a totally nice place to visit, not only for swimmers but also for people who love surfing.
