marketing plans

The new business growth models and marketing plans demand a strong social media presence. Today the market is all about influencers. Open any social media and you will come across at least one influencer in the first one minute of scrolling. During COVID 19 times, many of these entered the blogging world and become influencers. Becoming  an influencer seems fun but it comes with its own set of compromises and responsibilities.

If you plan on competing in the rat race then know what to do to not appear typical. Dealing with competitors is never easy. You’ve got to make sure that you offer the right price to market competitive brands and you’re managing everything smoothly at your end too. Having accountants by your side normally helps as well.  Let’s talk about three simple ways the influencer life that helps you expand your influence:

Know your target audience

Pick one field and stick to it. Know your target audience and create content accordingly. Always remember that too many cooks spoil the broth. Make sure you know the key ingredients to your recipe and stick to it. For e.g if you’re a lifestyle influencer then keep your updates related to that so that  people follow you for that content anything out of the blue if you change your content mid-way you may lose your followers and identity. Think of it as an ice cream parlor that sells hot dogs. Nobody goes on to eat a hot dog at an ice cream salon as that’s not it’s specialty.

Know your Plan

How much are you spending? Do you have a cash flow plan? Don’t go with the flow and plan all your expenses, savings, everything. Where influencer life is all about the glitz and glam that still doesn’t mean you bring yourself on the road. Investment is necessary, but you need to know when to stop. Have your finances in order. Accountants help you out with cash flow and make sure you keep a track of all your transactions as well. This way you’ll know where you are headed (not just followers wise but also money wise).

Stick to the ‘Not my monkey, not my circus’ approach

Stay away from any rivalry or anything that might be used against you. Do not pick sides if other influencers go through a rough patch for that is not your mess. If a particular influencer is not paid on time by a brand, and he chooses to damage the brand’s reputation on social media. No need to create a fuss out of it. Make sure you’re  No point getting dirty in someone else’s mess.

Influencer marketing is way ahead of traditional advertising. If traditional advertising helps you out with brand awareness, influencer marketing is a step forward. It captures the attention of people that are already interested in your brand. As an influencer, you’re not only capturing the attention through top notch content, but also making sure that your creative juices keep flowing with the money coming in.
