The Vampire Diaries is an American based drama series which consist of vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. It is based on a book called “The Vampire Diaries” written by L.J. Smith. The first season of “The Vampire Diaries” was released on September 10, 2009, which continued till March 17, 2017. These series consist of 8 seasons including a couple of spin-off shows, The Originals and Legacies.
Its story revolves around two brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore who are vampires and in this series they talk about their ups and downs in life and their love Elena Gilbert.
In Season 8, we got to see a love triangle between Caroline, Stefan and Alaric. Then Cade pushes Damon to make a selection between Elena and Stefan’s death.
Demon picks himself for hell and then comes Bonnie for saving Damon and battles with cade and killed cade with the help of dragger and then they both unite.
The fans and devotees of The Vampire Diaries are desperate for the return of their favourite show, but not the actors as some of them thinks that they might not be a suitable choice for a younger role anymore.
Some of them feel that the characters are not that much challenging for them as they had done it for 8 consecutive seasons. This is one of the major issues that stand in the way of renewal of The Vampire Diaries Season 9.

The developer of the series, Julie Plec says that they are happy with the ending of The Vampire Diaries and they don’t have further interest in discussing it.
