ehr software

Solismed was developed in an effort to provide solo practitioners and small-scale practices an alternative to expensive EHR systems. So far, they’ve exceeded expectations. First, they offer a completely free version, which will cost you nothing – except your time, of course – if you choose to set it up yourself. On the other hand, you can let the Solismed team set it up, and if you opt for local hosting, you’ll only have to cough up a one-time setup fee. The cherry on top is that it’s open-source, so they cant be selling your patient data as their code is out in the open for everyone to see.

We’ll take a closer look at Solismed pricing, but first, we must determine if there are any drawbacks associated with that attractive price. To achieve this, we’ll go over Solismed’s feature set, reviews, and demo availability.

Solismed, an overview

Aimed at small and medium-scale practices, Solismed comes with all the bells and whistles that we’ve come to expect from a modern EHR solution. Moreover, it also has practice management capabilities. A few of the most prominent features include e-prescribing, a patient portal, lab integration, patient demographics, medical billing, and much more. However, it does lack support for voice recognition and telemedicine. A mobile version is not severely missed as you can access it from a mobile browser.

The most notable thing about Solismed EHR is its commitment to customizability. Each staff member may set up personal text macros, form templates, letter templates, work schedule, encounter options, screen display, account settings, and emergency access. Additional customization options include configuring room layouts and bed configurations, appointment types, patient reminders, lab test lists, radiology tests, prescriptions, vaccines, procedures, merchandising, service levels, users’ accounts, and user roles. If you want a whole new module, the Solismed team can develop and integrate it into your EHR. Moreover, for those who opt for cloud hosting, updates are seamless and require minimal downtime.

Features of Solismed

Solismed offers a lot of intelligent features that will help your practice run smoother. They are built to automate many of your day-to-day work activities, digitalize patient care documentation, and improve staff communication. So let’s take a deeper look into them.

Dashboard of solismed

Dashboards are one of those features that aren’t super flashy, and they’re not to brag about. You could probably get your work done without them. However, having a dashboard makes life so much easier as it makes navigating through your EHR system effortless and offers you updates. For example, you may use it to keep track of your daily schedule.

Within Solismed’s dashboard, you’ll find a record of your appointments for the day, new messages and phone calls, Rx refill requests, and a track of outstanding fees and unfinished transactions.

Medical billing and finance of solismed

Solismed gives you the ability to manage patient payments and insurance invoices on a day-to-day basis. Furthermore, you can use OfficeAlly (and other insurance clearinghouses) to submit and process your claims with this system.

Scheduling and contacts

Solismed helps you keep track of patients, volunteers, suppliers, and others. You’ll find extensive demographics, insurance coverage, financial transactions, and medical history in the patients’ section.

Furthermore, by employing multi-calendar views, display filtering, credit card payments, bed assignments, and rapid access to interactions, you can schedule patient and staff appointments, perform walk-in registrations, and manage inpatient admissions.

Solismed Reviews

In my opinion, the best way to gauge whether a company is achieving its goals and fulfilling promises made to consumers is by reading product reviews. As for Solismed, they have excellent reviews, and the only complaints that users consistently have are random glitches. However, most have been fixed through regular updates.

Pricing and demos solismed

Solismed has a free version. But, before you start downloading it, it’s important to know that you won’t be eligible for customer support and major updates with the free version. Furthermore, only five active users can use the system free of charge. Additional users are required to pay for the licenses, which are sold in packages. Each package is $500 and gives you five additional licenses.

The paid version is fantastic, and it comes with hosting, 24/7 live customer support, up to 10 active users at a time, and free updates. All this at just 50 dollars a month. You can add additional users through a five-seat package at 25 dollars a month. Furthermore, you could get a custom domain at an extra 30 dollars a month E-prescribing is 12 dollars a month, and if you want an ad-free version, thats an extra 6 dollars a month. Set-up will cost upwards of 250 dollars, and there are additional charges if you need more than 100 GB’s of storage.

An introduction video and a free demo are available on Solismed’s website.

Final verdict of Solismed

In my opinion, Solismed is – considering its price- one of the best EHR solutions available on the market today. Its solid feature set, insane customizability, and pricing make it a no-brainer.
