Phone Screen Crack

There are people in this world who aren’t tech freaks or aren’t really big on buying a trendy phone. Also there are people who love to buy different phones to experience it. No matter who, we all at some point drop our phones and you know our hearts stop for a minute or two, it may not be intentional but the disaster happens. So, to avoid any sort of damage on our phones, it’s inevitable to buy the best accessories to prevent phone screen from cracking

There are many people who buy their first phones and are unsure about the protection of their phones. Here are a few points on how to protect your phones from cracking and if there’s a crack what steps you need to take to prevent it from spreading.

Cases have a hidden solution:

Obviously, cases protect the phones but not all. You will need the kind of case which is durable, light weight, balanced cushion for the phone, stylish, comfortable on the hands and not bulky. The main feature a case protector needs to have is screen clearance which means even if the phone falls face down, the screen doesn’t touch the ground.

Let’s not lose our temper:

Sometimes, we have such an ill fitted fate that even the best case fails to protect the screen. The only solution to this is that beautiful tempered slab of glass. It protects the glass from all the corners. Most of the screen guardsor tempered glasses are designed to break or crack so that the screen stays safe. These tempered glasses doesn’t leave any sticky residue when the time comes that you have to change to a new one.

Is that a Wallet:

There are cases in the market that are also look like a wallet. These are basically called as wallet folios, these clasp covers that lock over the screen giving it a protective layer. This adds extra cushioning and doesn’t leave a smear mark on the screen.

Bluetooth headphones:

Not all pants are suited to fit in your phones in the pocket. You are just lazy to hold and you try your best to fit it in. With the wired headphones you need to be extra careful before you do anything. If you’re not careful you will end up snapping the headphone from the jack and phone will land on the ground (if you don’t have a screen guard, you are doomed). In such cases, have a Bluetooth headphone and you don’t have to worry about it.

Do not text while walking:

You might think you know the roads properly but you might bump on to someone and drop you phone in a sewage canal. This might be an exaggeration to you but it can happen. So yet another way to save your phone from damage is to not text and walk. Or at least be alert while you’re doing that.

You couldn’t protect your phone from damage. Now what?

There are ways to stops the crack from spreading and increasing the damage. You need to be really careful with the glass that’s been shattered near the crack. Make sure you wear gloves before you start working on the temporary repair of the phone. Examine the phone under the light and determine if the phone is damaged or it’s the protective layer.

It’s important to examine because the phone is built in such a way that the machine stays protected from the dust, moisture or debris. Once there’s damage on the phone it becomes vulnerable.

PS: The step below is just a temporary repair and can be skipped if you think it’s too much to work with.

You can cover the crack with a temporary seal to manage it from spreading. Use a compound called cyanoacrylate and apply it evenly on the crack. Before you start using let it dry. The alternative to this step is to use a screen protector until you get the repair done from a professional.

Sometimes, even the high end model of cases or screen protectors can’t save the device from damage. Maybe it happened when you removed the case to clean you phone. It’s unfortunate but what’s the next step. How do you protect the crack from spreading or how will you protect the phone from more damage?

You need to check if your phone has insurance for cracked screen and use the old phone in order to not let the phone get even more damaged. Apart from this, there are DIY fixes for cracked phones. This helps in not losing a lot of money.

A better option than a DIY is to pay for the repair and get it done without thinking of the cost of the repair (if you think it’s worth it). if the cost of repair is going beyond the cost of the phone, it’s better invest in purchasing a new phone.

Conclusion

This blog doesn’t give you just a solution to protect the screen but also few tips and solutions to the aftermath of the damage. Buying a case and a tempered glass is the second step you need to do after you buy a new phone. And most importantly, get the insurance.
