About the Valley of Flowers 

The Valley of flowers is stretched in 87 sq km in the Chamoli district, in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. How to reach?

The travelers first need to reach Haridwar/Dehradun. From there through different means of transport one has to reach Govindghat that is the starting point of the Trek, they can either hire a public or private taxi or cab, covering a distance of 290 km. From Govindghat, the trek starts to the Valley of flowers and trekkers need to return To either Govindghat or Ghangaria.

Requirements for the Valley of Flowers trek

For sure, The valley is beyond beautiful and one should never miss a chance to visit it, but this is important to bear in mind that this trek is at a height of 12,002 ft and is about 8-9 km long and thus physical fitness is absolutely necessary.
