visit to New Zealand

New Zealand has so many adventures and so many things to do that with just one visit, you will never “do it all.” But you want to pack in as much as you can if you are anything like us!

There’s something for everyone in this country, ranging from must-try New Zealand cuisine, heart-pumping experiences, to wildlife meetings. On your first visit to New Zealand Tour Packages, we compiled a list of the best things to do so that you can start building a bucket list for your own Kiwi adventure.

1. Stay in the Mountain Hut for a night

New Zealand has a large network of mountain huts which make multi-day treks possible. Settling in one of the country’s more than 1000 huts is worthy of a position on any bucket list of adventure seekers.

The huts range from super remote, simple to convenient. Do your study, because prices and popularity often differ. Some book out weeks beforehand, while others aren’t complete.

2. Swim with Dolphins

This experience would be a real dream if you have been fascinated with Flipper and anything related to dolphins (like I did!).

The Dusky Dolphin lives just off the coast of the small town of South Island Kaikoura. This species is considered to be small and very ludicrous (maximum 2 meters long). They are pretty much the acrobats, and always flips out of the water!

3. Eat a Fergburger

We spoke to several people, who have just returned from a similar journey, and each one led them with the following message: “Oh MY God, You did not want to eat at Fergburger!” Before our trip to New Zealand.

We were happily shocked by something so hyped. On two occasions we had dinner there (one may have been a hawk cure…), and the burgers were great both times. Anything in a burger that you may want: Cooked meat perfectly. Many toppings creatively. Good sauces. Sweet. Enormous servings.

4. Epic Drives

New Zealand is not lacking in rough mountain tops, glacial lakes, moose rain forests, and blissfully abandoned beaches.

One of the best places to fly is the beautiful drives you can take in New Zealand (especially on the South Island). Be prepared for photography and attractions along the way, including waterfalls, rivers, and short walks regularly.

5. Learn about Māori Culture

Maori are New Zealand’s indigenous people and are famed worldwide for their amazing tattoo designs and a dance called Haka, where warriors stuck their languages to bully enemies.

It is recognized worldwide today because, before every game, the All Blacks Rugby crew make the Haka. If you don’t know about this war dance, take a look at this video of a Maori dance group playing the Haka.

6. Visit Milford Sound

Touched as New Zealand’s most popular tourist destination, also referred to as the ‘8th World Wonder,’ Milford Sound is a must while visiting New Zealand for the first time.

Located on the 15 kilometer stretch of Milford Sound in the Fjordland National Park, the area is full of purely rocky faces, high mountains, and two permanent waterfalls.

7. Live the #Vanlife

If you’re interested in #vanlife, New Zealand is the ideal location for revisiting your engine. This country is well equipped for campervans and newbies with campgrounds that range from free, simple, and damn near luxurious (with a price to match!).

Everywhere in a house, there’s something indescribable, if even for a few weeks. It teaches you how straightforward life can be when you let it and gives you the freedom one day to wake up by the mountains and next by the sea.

8. Log as many hikes as possible

New Zealand is a paradise for walkers. There are thousands of paths of different complexity and lengths across the world.

From the popular Te Araroa Trail to a full range of day tours that are suitable even for novice walkers, which runs along with the Northern and South Islands at a distance of 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) and take about 4 months to complete.

9. Eat a Golden Kiwi

These delicious golden fruits are more sweet and juicy than their green partners, and when traveling in the Kiwi country you should certainly try one (or ten!)

10. Take a Jet Boat Ride

The Kiwi farmer invented the jet ship in the 1950s by fired water from the rear. Because there are no propellors like a typical watercraft, jetboats can sail shallow channels, which otherwise would be unmovable.

Jetboat rides are a classic New Zealand adventure, with rides throughout the world. They’re known to go quickly and rotate, creating an exciting boat journey.

11. Wine Tasting at a Vineyard

New Zealand is known for making fabulous whites and reds, and you will certainly want to have a stop on your journey to one (or five!) wineries to taste the local flavors if you consider yourself to be a glass of wine.

The diverse climate in New Zealand means that each region is specialized in various varieties. If you are like us and are not picturesque, choose the location you want to go on your New Zealand journey most conveniently.

12. Go Whale Watching

Kaikoura is a small town on the eastern coast of the South Islands offering tourists a year-round opportunity to see sperm whales in their natural habitat. And the picturesque blend of the slapping of a whale against the surrounding of the snowy summits is difficult to defeat.

Watch Whale Whale Kaikoura has a success rate of 95% and will repay 80% of your price on the tour if you don’t see a whale on your voyage. You have nothing to lose then! You have so much to lose!
