chrome browser extension

Chrome extensions can be a big time saver. They can make your life a lot easier, especially as a marketer.

There are plenty of them out there, which if used can save a ton of time and can give you a ton of insight. We wanted to create a list of extensions which are a must have for marketers in 2021.

GMB Everywhere:

If getting your clients ranked on top of Google Map is your thing, then this is a must have. When it comes to local SEO, the GMB categories you assign to a business can have one of the biggest effect on moving the needle. GMBeverywhere.com lets you see the categories a business has assigned it on maps itself.

Say, if your client is trying to rank for ‘Dental Care’, search for the term and see what the other businesses that ranks in your area are doing? See screenshot below.

Keyword surfer:

If getting a client ranked on top of Google search is your thing, then try Keyword Surfer. The non-intrusive extension will add additional information to search terms as and when you search on Google. Having it on will greatly enhance your ability to find appropriate keywords to rank on Google.

It is surprising how fast the data is provided. This is pretty simple and non-intrusive. In fact, after the first couple of tries, you will get very used to the new google information displayed.

Buzzsumo:

You are doing content, and want to know what worked and what did not work for others? BuzzSumo platform is the one for you. It can give you detailed analysis with data about what worked and what did not. With the extension, you can do the same thing but from any page. Just click on the extension and it is an helper that guides you with data.   See screenshot below.

Snov.io Email finder:

Want to get in contact with a website administrator or wanted to reach out to prospective customers with email campaign? Then Snov.io is the platform for you. It lets you view the email of a user directly from the chrome extension.  Check it out.

The email and other information seems to be collected with the help of LinkedIn profiles. With the free version, you can get only a limited number of results. Another popular similar plugin is hunter, which many of you might be familiar with.

Grammarly:

Ok, this is not just for marketing, but it is a general tool. If you are like me and make a lot of grammatical mistakes and typos, then this is the tool for you. This will highlight the mistakes and provide suggestions for possible corrections. It is a must have in case you do reach out or interact directly with the end customers. This is a general extension, but though we would still add it here as it can provide great value to the marketers.

BuiltWith Technology Profile:

How often do you wonder what technology a website is made of? Won’t it be great if you knew a website is made of WordPress or Webflow. This handy tool shows you what technology a website is made with. With a click of a button you can see all the information right on your browser.

BuiltWith does not just provide you details about the technology on the backend of a site, it also shows you any extension or product the site is using. Saw, if you saw the chat box and wanted to know which CRM a customer is using, you can see all those information with the click of a button.

Do check these extension out. It would definitely scrape hours out of your work days.
