Ok, so we all know that the 3 big platforms for dropshipping all around the world are Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Yet have you ever heard about dropshipping on X?

Since Elon Musk acquired it, the platform has changed significantly.  Consider X a completely new platform which could skyrocket the entire dropshipping business.

Here I, will reveal to you my new dropshipping strategy, and I guarantee, this is something new. So, if you are ready to jump early on this new trend, let`s go ahead, and get right to it.

My strategy will be pretty simple and straight forward, but before we get into that, let me tell you why dropshipping on X. And there are 3 main reasons why I think X will become one of the big 4 in 2025. The first reason is the company itself.  Since Elon bought Twitter, he has also completely rebranded the platform, and that was not just changing the logo. He has introduced a bunch of features like Grok, community notes, X premium and the most important one, free speech. And due to these changes, X has gained a lot of attention all around the world and has become the number 1 news source on the planet. This gives us a completely new user base which is unsaturated and that alone is an incredible opportunity, especially for new dropshippers.

The second reason is the cost per click price on this platform. X is now by far the cheapest platform to advertise with only 38 cents per click. I mean, X is now less than half the price of both Facebook and Tiktok, and 9 times cheaper than Instagram. And this low cost per click is due to completely other reasons compared to other platforms. For example, TikTok is a lot cheaper than Instagram because of the low attention span of its users. But unlike TikTok, X`s user base has a really high attention span, so why is X so cheap then?

Well, one of the reasons is that when Elon bought the company, a lot of advertisers started boycotting the platform due to his Free Speech policies which of course affected the CPC. Another reason is because Elon also fired about 80 percent of the staff, which lowered the cost per click significantly on the platform. The low cost per click is due to these factors and not the attention span of the users, so I`ll let you connect the dots on why this is so beneficial for advertisers.

Now the 3rd reason why I think X will become one of the Big 4 is the incentives they offer to all advertisers. Not long ago, until the end of 2024, X launched an incentive which is offering you 500 dollars in ad credit for free when spending 250 dollars on ads. This is 3 times the amount you spend which would allow you to test products, essentially for free.

Now that incentive has ended, and X has given us an even better incentive in my view which is related to the Verified Organization badge. Having the Golden Badge to your company will give you a HUGE amount of credibility, which is crucial for dropshippers. It will essentially let everyone know that you are a legit company, which will exponentially increase your conversion rate.

Given these points, here is how you can apply them to this new strategy.

The first step is of course finding your winning product which follows a new criteria.

We all know that a product must solve a problem, have a wow factor, and or be desired by the market. But when advertising on X, your product must also be desired by an audience older than 18 years old. And that is simply because over 95 percent of the users on this platform are actually above 18.

The second step is creating your ad creative.

Now here is where it gets a little tricky. Unlike other platforms, X is for the most part a text-based platform. Now, I am not saying that you shouldn`t use videos or that you should use a simple image text campaign. What I`m saying is that it would be ideal to include enough writing on how your product can solve their problem. But the text is not everything; your ad creative must be excellent.

I also recommend having at least 3 different ad variations for your campaign in order to select the best performing one. You can try having 2 video ad creatives and 1 text based ad creative to find out which one works the best for your product. The users on this platform tend to have higher critical thinking, therefore your ad campaign must be professional and trustworthy.

Which brings us to step number 2, which is the Verified Organization Badge.

This badge will not only make your ad stand out, but it will also give you a huge increase in credibility potentially increasing your conversion rate exponentially.

The first plan will allow you to gain access to many things, but what we are looking for here is the Verified Gold badge and the free ad credits you receive when purchasing either of these. Whether you are going to choose the first or the second option, it is up to you, I recommend both equally.

Step number 3 is creating your store.

Not only must your store be well structured and designed but in order to boost your credibility there are certain aspects that must be achieved. You must make sure to have an About Us page, a Contact Us page, FAQ and very important, privacy and return policy. For your store to be as professional as possible, make sure to include all these pages. For your product page, your product images must be high quality and high resolution. Simply downloading your images from AliExpress won`t do the trick unless they are truly usable.

If they are a bit blurry or you need some improvement, you can simply use Canva to fix that. Regarding discounts on your store, I highly recommend avoiding any huge discounts like 50% off or 70% off or anything like that. As I mentioned earlier, the users on this platform have higher critical thinking, so using such discounts could potentially be seen as a red flag. So, if you want to add a discount, add something like 6%, 16%, or 19%. These numbers are likely to be perceived as a genuine discount, or you can just not give a discount at all.

Step number 4 is launching your ad campaign.

And here it all depends on which of the 2 plans you choose. For the first plan, you will receive a golden badge and 200 dollars in ad credit which is more than enough to test your product and potentially be profitable. Now the goal here is to analyze which of the ad variations performs the best.

So, once you have reached 100 dollars in ad spend, you can try to let that ad creative alone to do all the work. If your store turns out to be profitable, I believe I don`t need to tell you what to do. But in the case where your product is not profitable, you must either improve your store and ad campaign or try a different product.

And in that scenario, the second plan would make a difference. Having 1000 dollars in ad campaign will allow you to not only test multiple products but also scale it immediately once any of them turns out to be profitable. And if it turns out that your product is a winner, X offers this incentive which gives you 3.000 dollars ad credits for free after spending an equal amount.

So, if you are scaling your store to that point, the odds are that you will likely be profitable. With X`s low cost per click and the incredible incentives they offer, honestly, I see no better platform to start advertising on. Elon Musk has a track record of offering the best product with the lowest prices on the market, so if you decide to advertise on X, now is your chance.
