Mens style

I am about to tell you a secret that will change your life. The number one rule of fashion is: work with what you have. You can’t purchase clothes of the wrong size, hoping that a few extra pounds (or lack thereof) will give them a better fit. You can’t wear an XXL shirt to hide your belly when it’s too short to do so. You can’t hope that “business casual” means something no different than business formal or business sloppy. And please, don’t think I’m overlooking the simple fact that sometimes, less just is more.

Sometimes less is more

You may think you look great in that oversized sweater or those cargo pants, but if you feel awkward and uncomfortable, it’s going to show in your body language. If clothes are too tight or too loose, they can also make you look sloppy and disheveled. The same goes for clothes that are the wrong color for your skin tone and complexion it will only draw attention away from how great your outfit looks in other areas. A good rule of thumb is that whatever item of clothing makes you feel like a million bucks will probably make everyone else feel like one as well!

It’s better to look at the mirror before going outside

The second most common men’s style mistake is not looking at the mirror before going outside. You might see something you didn’t see before and be able to fix it, but if you don’t look at the mirror, then there’s no chance. And that’s why I’m telling you this: so that all of us can avoid this mistake.

It’s important to check your look in the mirror before exiting, especially if you’re wearing a suit. You might see something that you didn’t notice before a stain on your shirt or a button undone and fix it right away! Before going anywhere, make sure you look at the mirror and are happy with what you see. If not, change your clothes. If yes, then you are ready to go out.

Clothes that don’t fit well

We’ve all had the experience of buying a new shirt and then realizing it’s too big, too small or just doesn’t fit right in some other way. If this happens to you, you may be tempted to just roll with it, but doing so will make for an uncomfortable day of shopping and could even ruin your outfit altogether. If possible (and if there’s no time crunch), try on clothes at home before buying them so that at least one product isn’t wasted because of poor sizing. If you find yourself standing in front of a mirror wearing an ill-fitting article of clothing anyway, don’t despair! There are ways to fix most issues related to clothing size.

Uncomfortable shoes

Shoes can be tricky. But if you’re wearing shoes that are uncomfortable, you’re basically walking around with a little piece of brick tied to your foot. It’s bad for your feet, it’s bad for your posture and back, it’ll give you knee problems and ankle issues the list goes on and on. If the shoe fits comfortably but looks ugly as sin? That’s a no-brainer: get some different ones!

Shirts that are too short to hide your belly

You know what’s worse than not having a shirt on? Having a shirt that’s too short! When your shirt is too short, it doesn’t cover up your belly, which means the whole world can see all of your fat rolls and love handles. This is especially bad if you’re wearing a shorter pair of shorts, because then people will probably be able to see even more than they would otherwise (and this is assuming they don’t just ask you about it). Why would anyone ever want their bellies stick’sing out for everyone to look at? If this describes you, then make sure that any tops or shirts you buy next year are long enough so as not to show off any fat.

If you have a big belly, it is important to wear shirts that are long enough to cover the fat and not show off your belly. A shirt should be long enough to cover your belly and not show off your belly. If the shirt is too short, it will look like you are showing off your belly and this looks bad on a guy because he has been hiding his gut for so long.

Net socks and sandals

Net socks and sandals are a terrible idea. They’re not comfortable, they don’t look good and they can be bad for your health so why do so many men still wear them?

Net socks are ugly, uncomfortable and inappropriate in most situations. They look like you’ve been fishing all day. If you want to wear them with shorts or jeans, your legs need to be well tanned to make the whole thing work fashion-wise. Netting also has a tendency to catch on things when you walk around outside and that’s just annoying!

Sandals should only be worn if you have flat feet but even then it’s probably not worth it unless you live somewhere warm all year round (like Florida). However, even if your feet are perfectly fine don’t wear sandals! It’s too much exposure for an unprotected foot which could lead to fungal infections or ingrown toenails (ugh!).

Purchase cloth of the wrong size

This is a big one. Clothes that don’t fit well can be extremely off-putting, and they’re also hard to hide. If you’re wearing clothes that are too big or too small, the problem will become immediately apparent when you try to put on any kind of outerwear or layer up in general. There’s no quick fix for this you’ll just have to get it tailored at your local tailor’s shop as soon as possible. If your clothes don’t quite fit the occasion, it can send the wrong message about who you are and what kind of person you want others to perceive you as being. For instance, if you wear a suit but then take off your tie before leaving work for dinner (or vice versa), people might think that either A) You’re so comfortable with yourself that taking off formal clothing doesn’t seem like such an odd thing; B) You’re trying too hard; C) You forgot why exactly it was important for them not only dress up for their job but also maintain professionalism throughout their day at work; D) All three of these things!

Conclusion

It’s important to remember that you don’t need to look like Brad Pitt or David Beckham in order for people to notice you. It’s all about knowing how to dress for your body type and what looks best on it. After all, we’re all different so our fashion choices will differ as well!

By now you should be aware that looking good takes work and it’s never too late to start! We know this whole process can feel daunting, but if you take one step at a time, we promise it will soon become second nature. If there is anything else you want us to cover in the future let us know!
