on demand pharmacy delivery app

The world around is practically crumbling with the assault that is Corona Virus. Every business enterprise seems to be undergoing major losses; however, there is one that seems to be thriving during these times: The Pharmacy Delivery business.

We have come a long way since the days when any type of sickness would mean pain and suffering. Today, medical science has brought us to a threshold where treatment for almost any kind of illness is just a step away. However, the pandemic has made taking steps a very difficult chore indeed.

Today, owing to the lockdown, no one is being able to walk to their nearest pharmacy to procure the drugs that they need. But just because there is an outbreak and the virus is extremely contagious, will sickness disappear? Will the need for regular medicines vanish? Not really.

As the population of the world grows with every day, the need for medicines is also increasing. This is why, it is imperative that if you want to help your country and its people battle the CoVid situation, you must start off with your own pharmacy delivery business.

How does this app work?

The pharmacy delivery app, or ‘Uber for Pharmacy’ as most people like to call it, is a fantastic and simple app that can enable your customers to purchase their medicines online and get it delivered to their doorsteps easily.

While there are many other types of app of a similar kind available on the internet, you must understand how the app should work so that you can make the right choice while buying it.

There are four parties that use this app:

  1. User
  2. Delivery Driver
  3. Pharmacy Store Owner
  4. Website Owner

Let us now try to analyse the app from all the different users.

User

The user must first download the app. This should be an easy step, that doesn’t require the user to fill in tedious details. No one likes to do that. So, perhaps making logging in through their Gmail or Facebook account should be an option.

As soon as the user logs in, he or she is then taken to a page that shows a list of all the pharmacies in the nearby areas. The user should be able to click on their preferred store, which would then show them a list of all the medicines available in their store.

The user can select the medicines that they need and add them to their cart. Once added, they can now checkout the product by making a payment. The payment process too should be simple for the user. The user can put in their card details or banking details on the app which can allow them to later make a seamless payment.

Once the payment is made, the user gets notified about the payment being made and that the order has been placed. The user then receives the medicines delivered to their doorstep.

Delivery Driver

The delivery driver downloads the app and then logs in to it. The driver can then upload their details on the app. These details need to be approved by the admin before the driver is registered with the app. Once the registration is done, the driver can upload their availability as ‘On’ or ‘Off’.

If their status is ‘on’ and the requested delivery around their area, the app will automatically send the delivery request to the driver. In case the driver sees it fit, they can accept the delivery. However, they should be allowed to decline if not available as well.

IF the driver declines, the request simply moves to another available driver in the area. If the driver accepts the order, they are given the details of the store to pick up the medicines from and then the address where the delivery needs to be made.

Pharmacy Store

The store downloads their panel. Here they can manually upload the items that are available in their store. Once a user selects their store and places an order for the items, the pharmacy is notified of this order.

The pharmacy then creates a package with the ordered medicines and assigns the order delivery to a driver. The driver can then pick up the order and deliver it to the address of the user

App Owner

This is the most important aspect of the app. This is where the app owner can manage the whole business from. The admin panel will allow you to manage the store, see the users, check out reports on sales, and authorize drivers and much more.

How to Pick the Right App for your Business?

Now that you know exactly how the ideal pharmacy delivery app should be, you need to be very careful on choosing the right one for your business. The best way to do this is probably to take a demo of the app before you purchase it.

As mentioned before, there is an abundance of these apps in the market. Especially since the lockdown, the demand for this kind of a business has gone up in an unprecedented way. To be able to tell which app is most suited for your business, you have to use it first hand from all the different perspectives that we’ve mentioned above.

Download the app on your own handset and then use it real time to see how it works, whether all the affected parties are comfortable in using it or not etc. You can also check out some of your competitors’ app to make sure that you aren’t missing on any features.

Another very important factor when kick starting your on demand business is to make sure that your app is purchased from a white label developer. This will mean that your app will only bear your logo and brand name.

Also, make sure that you don’t delay a decision on purchasing this app for too long. The crisis that the world faces is today and if you want to help the world and grow your business at the same time, make sure that you don’t waste any time in wondering when to start. Get a readymade app so that it can be launched in just under a week so that you can help your country and its citizens during the global outbreak of CoVid-19 while continuously growing your business of On Demand Pharmacy Delivery App.
