1. Activate the Android Power Strip
One of the most important features of Android 2.1 is its built-in power widget. Here, you can quickly disconnect all features that destroy the phone, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS Battery Killer. Long press on the screen and insert it into the widgets section.
2. Android call testing
If you’re a crazy caller, Android is there for you. Open the contact list of the person you are currently avoiding and select Menu Options. From here you can capture all incoming calls from this person directly to voicemail. Give people a brush with Android.

6. Rename Android folders
Also, once you have done that, customizing things to perfection may rename folders. Just open a folder, and long press on its name in the top bar to display the Top Secret naming field.
7. Check the date
Probably one of the smallest non-paper features is the date tracking center. Press the notification bar at the top left of the screen. It tells you what day it is. Go ahead, try it. It will.
8. Insert your SD card
Also available in the notifications field is the Mount option. Most new Android users have failed at this barrier, as inserting your SD card is a bad step that needs to be taken before it can appear as an external drive to copy data. Attach it, mount it, and copy it.

One thing that makes Android 2.1 swish slightly and more fun than the previous unfortunate ones is its Live Wallpaper support – a dynamic image format that brings your home screen. There is a battery life that can be overlooked by doing so, but in return, you get a phone that looks cool. What a life it is all about, isn’t it? Search for Android Market for Live Wallpaper – there are many loads.
11. Easy zoom
A little teeny feature, this, but very useful when using all five of your home screens – or a more user-friendly interface. Touching the dots next to the dock at the bottom of the screen reveals a small list of icons for all home screens, allowing you to move from Screen 1 to Screen 5 without wearing a groove on your screen surface.
12. Install Navigation shortcut on Android
Android 2.1 allows users to set local cuts in the Maps Navigation satnav app. As long as you have one of the latest Google Maps updates, you can choose one of your Navigation routes and paste it directly into the shortcut on the Home screen – creating a one-click launcher for your favorite trip.
13. Set your zoom level twice with a double tap
For phones that do not support multi-touch zoom, you can greatly control your zoom to browse the web with the browser settings page. Change your view to Close if you want the page to fly as close as you double-tap on the screen, or leave it to Remote; if you enjoy getting text only a little closer when you double-tap.
14. Resize Android browser font size
From the same menu, you can also choose the font size of your browser. Your appropriate settings will vary depending on your screen size, resolution, and visual acuity, but a few minutes to set up so that pages are readable will save many hours of accumulating size in the years to come.
15. Search web pages
Menu; Finding a page allows you to search for specific words on web pages if you don’t mind reading the item as the author intended.
